UK gross domestic product grew 0.5% from the prior quarter, exceeding a 0.4% forecast and quickening from a previously reported 0.4% pace.

Measured year on year, output expanded 1.4%, ahead of the 1.2% consensus estimate and also above the earlier 1.2% figure, indicating the annual growth rate was stronger than previously reported.
